ABOUT US
The foundation for needy students was established in 1961 after Moral Education had discovered that Thai children, both in rural and urban areas, did not have adequate opportunities to pursue education. There were only a few organizations equipped to support the needs of these students at the time. When Her Majesty Queen Sirikit learned of the fact, she graciously established a fund, which her loyalists courteously contributed to as an occasion for her birthday. The Foundation for Needy Students under Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen Scholarships
Established in 1963 and maintained by income generated from the endowment fund, “These scholarships provide support to low-income students to pursue undergraduate study until degree completion. The scholarships use both direct fund from the annual and lumpsum donations and the interest gained from investing the endowment fund.
Capital value
Between 10,000 to 20,000 baht per person per year based on the faculty and the donor intent.
Navaruek Royal Scholarships
As it was named and received its initial endowment fund of 51,111 baht from His Majesty King Bhumibol Aduldej, the Navaruek Royal Scholarships are given to the most deserving secondary and vocational students who are from low-income families.
The combined digit of the initial fund add up to 9 is a reference to the king himself who also known as King Rama IX. His Majesty has also granted the donors his permission to set up subsidiary scholarships under individual or other organization entities.
Capital value
10,000 baht per person per year.
