61st Anniversary of the Foundation for the Needy Students under the Royal Patronage (M.N.K.)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCreating Opportunities, Supporting Needy Students\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Foundation\u2019s Achievements from August 22, 2021, to August 22, 2022<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Foundation for the Needy Students under the Royal Patronage (M.N.K.) cordially invites you to join in making merit through the campaign \u201cCreating Opportunities, Supporting Needy Students.\u201d<\/em> Children and youth are the future driving force of the nation. However, it is undeniable that many of them, despite their potential and abilities, are deprived of educational opportunities. The Foundation therefore strives to serve as a bridge, granting such opportunities to those in need.<\/p>\n

The Foundation was established out of the love and benevolence of senior officials of the Ministry of Education, who recognized the importance of education and initiated the establishment of this Foundation in 1961. Since then, the Foundation has continuously supported and assisted students for more than six decades. The first President of the Foundation was M.R. Kukrit Pramoj, while the current President is Mr. Surawat Chomphupong, the sixth President (2021\u2013present).<\/p>\n

The Board of Directors upholds the guiding principle: \u201cContinuity, Development, Progress, and Sustainability.\u201d<\/em> This vision honors the legacy of the Foundation\u2019s founders while adapting to contemporary needs, particularly in areas such as public relations, fundraising, and special projects, ensuring that the Foundation\u2019s work is not superficial. For instance, scholarships are granted on a continuing basis until the completion of a student\u2019s education, with follow-ups to ensure sustainable impact.<\/p>\n

In 2022, a most auspicious year marking the 90th Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, the Foundation\u2019s Royal Patron, the Foundation organized a celebratory project in Her Majesty\u2019s honor, consisting of three activities:<\/p>\n

1.<\/b>\u00a0Student Relief Fund during COVID-19<\/strong> \u2013 The Foundation granted financial support to 20 schools across all regions, each receiving 50,000 baht, totaling 1,000,000 baht. The donation was made by Mrs. Phensri Yimchan. Following this initiative, the President of the Foundation and some members of the Executive Board made further contributions.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

2.<\/strong> Educational Scholarships for Higher Studies<\/strong> \u2013 The Foundation raised funds to provide scholarships for Grade 12 graduates pursuing higher education, including four-year programs and six-year medical programs, with a total of 90 scholarships awarded.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

3. Art for Charity\u201d Exhibition<\/strong> \u2013 The Foundation was graciously granted royal permission by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, The Princess Royal, to feature photographs taken by Her Royal Highness. The Foundation collaborated with Sombat Permpoon Gallery and 17 artists to hold a charity art exhibition from June 8 to July 8, 2022.<\/p>\n
